Probably, like most business owners, consultants or entrepreneurs, you began your business with a vision of success in your mind. Perhaps that vision was financial. Perhaps it was independence. Perhaps it was to become famous within your niche. Perhaps it was a combination of those.
So the question becomes…how are your doing?
Again, the answer will vary.
For some, the initial dreams of great wealth and fame dissipate as time goes on. Other priorities emerge. Enthusiasm fades. Life goes on.
Psychologists refer to this as the plateauing effect. Once we reach a certain level of success, our desire for more begins to diminish. As long as we can maintain the status quo, we’re pretty happy.
While the plateauing effort is common, it’s not universal. There is a small percentage of entrepreneurs who desire for more.
Obviously, people like myself work hard to align themselves with that small percentage.
