A very informative book that makes marketing seem doable

“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started to think about marketing and then put it off to deal with what seemed like much more pressing issues. As a small business owner, you have a million things on your plate and you’re constantly putting out fires. Coming up with a marketing plan just seems like too much to add into the mix. This book makes marketing seem doable. By showing readers how to break his marketing plan into a five-day project, the author shows it’s possible to add these things into your day. Every small business owner should give this book a chance. It has changed the way I’m building my business.”

All around great advice, but really loved the social media strategies

“Mark Satterfield’s One Week Marketing Plan was eye-opening. I think any small business owner who has struggled with implementing a consistent marketing effort will find it valuable. But I have to admit I found his social media strategies the most helpful. Of course, anyone in business these days, whether you’re a business owner or an employee, is bombarded with information about how important it is to have a social media presence. But as a small business owner, things like blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn were real stumbling blocks for me. Just as a the author breaks down his marketing plan into doable tasks, he breaks down the steps one needs to take in order to create a blog and use sites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn more effectively. I highly recommend this great book. If you run a business, you’ll use this stuff every day.”

Learn how to make your website really work for your business

“I’ve had a website for my business for years, but I could never quite figure out how to make it a really productive element of my marketing efforts. Mark Satterfield’s advice on how to turn your website into a lead capturing machine was excellent. And even better, he explains how to create and maximize your web presence on a budget—music to any small business owner’s ears!”

Finally, some info about SEO that you can really use

“Like many small business owners, I hear “SEO” and my eyes glaze over. When I created my website, I did my best to incorporate keywords to boost my Google rankings and got mediocre results. Before reading this book, it had never occurred to me that a blog would help with SEO. In fact, it had never occurred to me to use a blog for my business, period. Satterfield’s advice is easy enough to implement, and in addition to boosting my business in Google searches, I think blogging is going to help me bring in even more customers and strengthen the relationships I have with current ones.”
